Why Blogging?
Hello! Its been a long while since I posted anything here.
I just did not want to write or blog because i want to have a blog post or article on the internet, I found my reason to write and its because i have so much to say, which i feel will inspire young girls and women out there.
Where do I begin? sigh I guess I will just have to start from somewhere.
Please stop looking for fame in place of purpose, purpose leads to relevance. WHY ARE YOU HERE? a billion dollar question for countless people.
I do not want to be famous when I can develop myself, improve myself. Don't get me wrong, if fame comes as a result of who i have become from how i have worked on myself, then its a Great thing.
What happens when you get fame without purpose? thats a place you don't want to be...
We live in a world where a lot of people have lost their values and morals, they want to be popular and famous without content.
At every point in time, we must have a thing or two we stand for, so as not to fall for anything.
Personally, I am still a work in progress and I have not arrived yet - smiles
But hey! I found something i did not know I have....wink
Talk you later.
Cheers (Picks Race)

ARGUING AGAINST SUCCESS - AFCON 2013
The Question is: can anybody argue against success?
The Super Eagles won the match and the atmosphere all over
the world changed especially in Nigeria.
I witnessed a man, who called 4 different people congratulating
them: I wondered to myself ‘what’s wrong with this man? Does he know the family
of some of the Super Eagles Team?’ but apparently, the man was simply excited.
All of a sudden, millions of people were happy to be called
Nigerians; the Victory brought smiles to our faces, even though we don’t have a
share in the trophy personally and the team that played the game does not know
most of us. We were simply HAPPY.
Why were we happy?
“A goal in either half from Emmanuel Emenike and Sunday
Mba booked Nigeria a spot in the semifinals of the Africa Cup of Nations
with a 2-1 victory, sending Ivory Coast crashing out”
I saw genuine smiles and I decided to think back to the
previous match (Nigeria and Zambia), we didn’t hear the last of it. From bbm
dps (blackberry messenger display pictures) to bbm updates to facebook posts, the
Super Eagles were called all sorts of names.
Some graphic artist designed
pictures depicting the disappointment derived from the match, in no less than
5minutes funny and ridiculous pictures started flying, you would wonder if
these people were expecting the result we got before the match was played.
A pessimist said: ‘did Nigeria actually win the match? There
must be a foul play’ instantly I ignored this person: at that moment it was all
about the success of the Super Eagles Nigeria *winks*
There’s a lesson from this match: it dawned on me that ‘the
stone that the builders rejected is now a corner stone’ Acts 4:11
No matter who you are, once you’re successful you become a
big star: everybody would like to associate themselves with you, those who have
counted you worthless will suddenly think you’re someone of a great worth.
SUCCESS has loads of friends!
Has anybody ever told you that you will never make it? Be successful
and you will see them coming back telling you how much they believed in you,
how much they have been praying for you and how much faith they have always had
in you.
Have you been told you're ugly? Not up to a particular standard?
*I laugh* you just be successful and you will see how beautiful you
really are, how people will make you feel beautiful with their words and
hypes and how people will make you their real standard, thereby
becoming a brand.
There’s nothing wrong in associating with successful people
but it would be nice for us all not to look down on anyone
The best revenge you can give anybody is to be a SUCCESS in
life
Pls post a comment, feel free to critique this post and ask your questions.
FYI I'm simply a learner *smiles*

Who Is GidiTraffic: A Robot?
I feel I should write this little piece for a great person
who happens to serve thousands of people round the world. The real great people
are not those with special titles, but those who serve others.
How many people remember to visit the web for anything these days? As long as you’re a follower of Gidi
traffic. *winks*
Initially I thought Gidi Traffic (GT) was just about lagos
traffic but I was wrong, then I was also of the opinion that it’s just about GT
and no one else but I was wrong again.
So what am I right about? You’d ask.
Gidi Traffic has made himself/herself (for the purpose of
this article, permit me to use ‘him’) a problem solver. How?
Gives updates on Lagos traffic, some followers go through
his TL just to be sure of the route to take in getting around. As a result of
this, many have been saved from bumper to bumper (B2B) traffic and we get
responses like good to go (GTG)
Some ask questions that are not traffic related and GT
retweets for the followers, after all 2 or more good heads are better than one
*smiles* questions like: “GT I need a 2bedroom flats on the mainland that is affordable”.
Some ask technology related questions, Fuel related questions, direction within
Lagos, some share their thoughts, some search for jobs, girlfriend/boyfriend,
missing loved ones, where to buy different things, telecommunication enquires,
some get lost and try to find their way, some look for vendors and so much
more.
As long as GT retweets your tweets, you will definitely
receive responses from different people, providing answers to your question.
Then it occurred to me that its not just GT but the followers also play a major
part in this. Thumbs up tweeps!
Guess what? He does all these for free; he doesn’t need to
know you from Adam to retweet your tweets (cool, don’t you think?) imagine GT
retweeting the tweets of those he knows one on one and none else? Hmmmm
So whats the difference between the popular websites and GT?
Online real time. How?
Atimes when you visit the web for information about a
particular ‘thing’ oftentimes you get obsolete answers, for instance certain
companies may fail to update the information on their sites: 2 weeks ago, I
needed to obtain a secondary school admission form and brochures for my nephew,
so I went to the site, was referred to a couple of banks, I wasted time, effort
and fuel by going to 3 different banks but to no avail. If I’d been to GT, I’m
sure I would have saved all I wasted. Reason? The School didn’t update the information
on her site. And many other instances.
With GT, it is LIVE and DIRECT because it’s not about an
obsolete website but about real living people who have the information you’re
looking for.
Few days ago someone commended Gidi about his level of
patience, saying he answers all questions and retweets all that comes his way,
then I remembered what my brother used to tell me years back when I complained
about been used(work) by office people. He said
“Have you observed something about the incinerator where people
pour dirt? They pour both good and bad stuff right there, go near and watch the
kind of stuff that grows there, you would see beautiful flowers,
green/nourished grasses and the likes…..allow people to send you on different
errands and give you so much to do, they’re simply helping you without knowing”
There are a couple of questions that some of GT’s followers
have asked: is GT a female or male. How does GT make money from this? (if he
does at all). I will leave these two questions to GT to tackle when he’s ready.
My name is Abisoye, a twitter user who tweets at
GT’s handle on twitter and gets very helpful responses from his followers
because he helps to retweet my tweets. I have also helped answering some
questions which I had answers to and also with traffic updates just like other
followers.
I may not be a very good writer as this article would be my
first article ever. *smiles* but you’re free to critique it.
Thanks for reading. Eko oni baje oooo
